If you crave for a pasta recipe which with no doubt stands out from the rest, this dish is just right for you! Smoked salmon here makes a great match with apple (although it sounds a bit strange – you should definitely taste this!) and grated cheese along with the dill, the parsley and the lemon create an unbelievably tasty sauce, which brings balance to the dish and pleasure to your mouth! 😛 Would YOU also like to taste this? WHAT YOU NEED:
200g pasta (here I used penne but rigatoni would also do)
80g of butter
30g of all-purpose flour
2,5dl of milk
2,5dl of milk cream
80g of grated cheese (I used a mixture ideal for pizza)
1 tablespoon of dill
1 tablespoon of fine-cut parsley
400g of smoked salmon
1 apple (cut in fine slices)
Juice made out of ½ a lemon
Cook the pasta until it’s done and pour it into a spaghetti strainer. Set the oven at 200 degrees (don’t put anything in the oven – we just want to preheat it!). Melt 50g of butter in a BIG frying pan and pour slowly the flour. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes as one and slowly pour the milk and the milk cream while you keep stirring. Stir well and let boil. Add the grated cheese, salt, pepper and the herbs (i.e. dill and parsley).
Cut the smoked salmon in small pieces and the apple in fine slices and mix them with the pasta. Add this mixture to your sauce. Stir well and add a bit more salt, pepper and the lemon juice.
Put your mixture in a buttered baking pan and add on top the rest of the butter (that is to say 30g) cut in small pieces. Put the baking pan in the oven and leave it there until the surface becomes golden-like (approximately 20-30 minutes).
